Start Saving For Christmas Today

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Hey hey hey.

Welcome back to My Jamaican Vignettes. Did you read that headline currently? Yes you did. Don’t get caught without a budget or spending plan for the busiest and most expensive time if year. This year we are saving for Christmas. Start saving for Christmas today.

Creating a Christian Holiday Budget and Savings Plan

Before you randomly make up a number consider this. Check your statements from October and November and December 2025 and see what you spent on the holidays last year. Consider gifts, giving, donations, travel and food and hosting. Look at your monthly budget, list or decide who you want or need to spend money on during the holidays. And it’s okay to scale back if last year you went overboard but set your budget.

Divide that figure by six and create a Christmas 2026 sinking fund today so you’ll be ready for the holidays this year.

Future you, you in January 2027 will be very happy and grateful that you listened to the advice on a random My Jamaican Vignettes blog post in May 2026.
